Windscreen wiper arms
The windscreen wiper arms should be positioned so that in the parked position the wiper blade lies horizontal and parallel with the lower edge of the windscreen. If required, the wiper arms may be removed by pulling back the spindle covers (A) and undoing the arm retaining nuts (B), after which the blades may be eased off the spindles.
Note: The position of the wiper arms should only be altered when the wipers have first been "parked" on a wet screen and the wiper motor and ignition has been switched off.

When replacing the arms it is essential to position the wiper arms on the splined spindles so that the wiper blades lie in their correct position on the windscreen. Do not over tighten the retaining nuts before dipping the spindle Covers back into position. On older models without retaining nuts, fit the arm on the spindle in the required position and press down until it is retained by the clip.

Windscreen wiper blades
Windscreen wiper blades should be replaced at regular intervals, or if they become damaged by the action of road dirt and salt. Never use the wipers to clear frozen snow or ice from the windscreen as this will damage the wiper lips.

To renew a wiper blade, pull the wiper arm away from the windscreen. press inwards the leaf spring (C) and push the wiper blade hook (D) free of the arm. Withdraw the blade from the arm. To replace, reverse the procedure.

Windscreen washers
Always use LTI screen washer fluid or a similar proprietary product. mixed with tap water to the concentration indicated by the manufacturer, when topping up the windscreen washer reservoir situated on the left hand side of the engine compartment. replenish the fluid through the filler (E) in the top of the plastic container (F).

CAUTION: Never use anti-freeze solution in the windscreen washer system.

To adjust the windscreen washer jets (G) insert a thin needle into the jet orifice and swivel the jet to the required position. The water jet should strike the windscreen at the center of the highest point of the windscreen blade arc.

LES ESSUIE-GLACES

Les bras d'essuie-glace
Les bras d'essuie-glace doivent toujours être placés de sorte qu'en position arrêtée des balais d'essuie-glace; ils se trouvent horizontaux et parallèle avec le bord inférieur du pare-brise. S'il y a lieu, les bras d'essuie-glace peuvent être enlevés en retirant les caches d'axe (A) et en défaisant les écrous de retenue de bras (B), après quoi les lames peuvent être réglés sur l'axe principal.
Note : La position des bras d'essuie-glace doit être changée seulement lorsque les essuie-glaces ont été arrêtés en position la plus basse sur une vitre humide et le moteur du véhicule et des essuie-glaces a été coupé.

Lors du remplacement du bras, il est essentiel de positionner le bras d'essuie-glace sur l'axe cannelé de sorte que les lames d'essuie-glace se trouvent en position correcte sur le pare-brise. Ne pas trop serrer les écrous de retenue avant de remettre les protections d'axe en position. Sur les anciens modèles sans écrous de serrage, monter le bras sur l'axe dans la position désirée et appuyez jusqu'à ce qu'il soit retenu par le clip.

Balais d'essuie-glace
Les balais d'essuie-glace doivent être remplacés à intervalles réguliers, ou s'ils sont abîmés par l'action de la saleté et du sel dû à la route. Ne jamais utiliser les essuie-glaces sur de la neige congelée ou de la glace car cela endommagerait les lèvres d'essuie-glace.

Pour remplacer un balai d'essuie-glace, tirer le bras d'essuie-glace loin du pare-brise, serrer le ressort vers l'intérieur (C) et pousser le crochet du bras de l'essuie-glace (D). Retirer la lame du bras. Après avoir effectué le remplacement, inverser le procédé.

Lave-vitre
Employer toujours du produit lave-vitre LTI ou un produit semblable, mélangée à de l'eau du robinet et dont la concentration est indiquée par le fabricant, en refaisant le plein du réservoir situé du côté gauche du compartiment moteur. Faites le niveau du lave-vitre par le goulot (E) situé au-dessus du récipient en plastique (F).

ATTENTION : Ne jamais employer d'antigel dans le système de nettoyage du pare-brise.

Pour ajuster les gicleurs du pare-brise (G) insérer une aiguille mince dans l'orifice afin de régler le jet dans la position désirée. L'eau devrait frapper le pare-brise au centre du point le plus élevé de l'arc de cercle décrit par les balais d'essuie-glace.
