HEATING AND VENTILATING

Air Distribution Control (Fascia)
This lever (27) controls the distribution of air between the windscreen, the side ventilators and the vent at floor level. It should be used together with the two side ventilator controls.

Movement of the lever to the left hand side will direct air to the two side vents (35) where further control is provided by the lower knurled control.

Movement to the center will divert air to foot level.

Movement to the right hand side will concentrate air flow to the windscreen for the purposes of demist or defrost.

There will always be a proportion of air directed to the windscreen, depending on the position of the control lever.

The switch (26) provides a choice of two speeds for the blower motor which will boost the supply of air in the direction selected by the distribution control.

Air temperature control
To increase the temperature of the air entering the driver's compartment move the lever (28) towards the right hand side (red band). If cool air is required leave the lever at the left hand side (blue band).

Side ventilator control
The two side controls (35) provide a variable control for the amount of air and its direction from the side ventilators.

The manner of control is identical for both LH & RH sides.

The bottom knurled control (A) can be used to regulate the amount of air being emitted from the ventilator. The control ranges from OFF with the control turned fully to the left to MAXIMUM with the control turned fully to the right.

The top knurled control can be used to direct air either to the left or right. The center knurled control (C) can be used to direct air either upwards or downwards.

Passengers blower control
Situated on the left hand side of the driver's partition it provides an independent on/off switch (D) for the rear compartment irrespective of the position of the driver's control switch for this compartment.

The second switch (E) gives a choice of two speeds for the heater blower.

Button (25) can be used to power the fan directly to the passengers' compartment from the driver's side, regardless of the position of the "On/Off" buttons for controlling the ventilation in the passengers' compartment.

AIR CONDITIONING (if fitted)

The controls for the optional air conditioning system for the driver are fitted in the front luggage compartment (A). With the ignition switched 'on', turn the upper control knob (B) clockwise, to operate the fan. The fan has three speeds, choose the setting which is the most comfortable. Turn the lower control knob (C) clockwise until the red indicator light glows to adjust the temperature to the desired level.

After adjusting the temperature setting the red indicator light may extinguish: this is normal and indicates the disengagement of the thermostat works. Finally adjust the vents (D) to the desired position.

Note: Leakage of water under the vehicle may be caused by condensation as a result of the operation of the air conditioning unit.

CAUTION: The air conditioning unit contains freon gas which affects the ozone layer of the atmosphere. Have the air conditioning system checked from time to time by an air conditioning specialist repairer who has the equipment needed to service the air conditioning unit.

FUSES
The air conditioning fuses and relays are located beneath the bonnet to the side of the heater (E).
The ampere rating of the fuses are as follows:

Contrôle de distribution d'air (fascia)
Ce levier (27) commande la distribution de l'air entre le pare-brise, les ventilateurs latéraux et l'évent au niveau du plancher. Il doit être utilisé conjointement avec les deux ventilateurs latéraux.

Le mouvement du levier vers le côté gauche permet de concentrer l'air vers les deux fentes latérales (35) où un contrôle supplémentaire est fourni par la commande inférieure moletée.

Le mouvement vers le centre détournera l'air au niveau du pied.

Le mouvement vers le côté droit concentrera la circulation d'air vers le pare-brise pour le désembuage ou le dégivrage.

Il y aura toujours une proportion d'air dirigé vers le pare-brise, selon la position du levier de commande.

Le commutateur (26) offre un choix de deux vitesses pour le moteur du ventilateur qui amplifiera l'approvisionnment d'air dans la direction choisie par la commande de distribution.

Contrôle de température de l'air
Pour augmenter la température d'air entrant dans la cabine du conducteur, déplacer le levier (28) vers la droite (bande rouge). Si l'air frais est requis déplacer le levier vers le côté gauche (bande bleue).

Commande des ventilateurs latéraux
Les deux ventilateurs latéraux (35) fournissent une quantité d'air et une direction variable.

Les commandes sont identiques pour les deux côtés.

La molette inférieure (A) peut être utilisée pour réguler la quantité d'air émise par le ventilateur. L'arrivée d'air est fermée avec la molette tournée entièrement vers la gauche et ouvert au MAXIMUM avec la molette tournée entièrement vers la droite.

La molette supérieure peut être utilisée pour diriger l'air vers la gauche ou la droite. La manette du centre (C) peut être utilisée pour diriger l'air vers le haut ou vers le bas.

Commande du ventilateur passagers
Située sur le côté gauche de la partition du conducteur, elle est composée d'un interrupteur "marche/arrêt" indépendant (D) pour le compartiment arrière, indépendamment de la position du commutateur côté conducteur.

Le deuxième interrupteur (E) offre un choix de deux vitesses pour le ventilateur de chauffage.

Le bouton (25) peut être utilisé pour alimenter le ventilateur côté passagers directement du côté conducteur, indépendamment de la position du bouton "marche/arrêt" et des boutons de commande de ventilation de la cabine passagers.

CLIMATISATION (si installée)

Les commandes pour le système de climatisation en option pour le conducteur sont situées dans le compartiment à bagages avant (A). Avec le contact sur "on", tournez le bouton du haut (B) dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre, pour actionner le ventilateur.
Le ventilateur a trois vitesses, permettant de choisir celle qui est la plus appropriée. Tournez le bouton du bas (C) dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre jusqu'à ce que le voyant rouge s'allume, et ajustez la température au niveau désiré.

Après avoir réglé la température, le voyant rouge peut s'éteindre: c'est normal et indique que le débrayage du thermostat fonctionne. Pour finir, ajuster la ventilation (D) à la position désirée.

Note : Une fuite d'eau sous le véhicule peut être provoquée par condensation du dispositif de climatisation.

ATTENTION : Le dispositif de climatisation contient du gaz fréon qui affecte la couche d'ozone de l'atmosphère. Faites vérifier votre climatisation de temps en temps par un réparateur disposant du matériel nécessaire à la maintenance des climatiseurs.

FUSIBLES
Les fusibles et les relais de climatisation sont situés sous le capot, sur le côté du radiateur de chauffage (E).
